The underlying goal of Greenpeace is a green and peaceful world – an Earth that is ecologically healthy and able to nurture life in all its diversity.  Founded in 1971 by a small group of activists armed only with a fishing boat, the organisation has grown to become one of the most famous environmental movements in the world.

Recent work includes highlighting the devastation caused by fire in the Amazon and campaigning to end the destruction of indiginous land in Brazil.
