WasteAid is an independent UK charity set up by waste management professionals to share practical and low-cost knowledge and solutions with communities in low-income countries.  With more than three billion people globally lacking a waste service, leading to pollution and public health problems, the charity works with communities to help them take control of waste management in their area.

Examples of its work include the setting up of a plastics recycling training centre in the Gambia, where plastic waste is being turned into paving slabs.
