Having been available in the US and France for some time, delivery service Loop, which provides groceries and other household essentials in reusable packaging, has launched in the UK, in partnership with Tesco.
Supported by brands such as Unilever and PepsiCo, the online store sells favourites such as Heinz product lines and Coca-Cola in reusable packaging, which is collected from shoppers’ doorsteps when they take delivery of their next order.
The idea is to cut down on single-use and hard-to-recycle plastics and other packaging materials. The containers can be washed and reused up to 100 times, and the UK site currently has 150 products available, with more being added as the service grows in popularity.
A great way for both consumers and brands to make a difference in the fight against unsustainable packaging.
