The Ethical Superstore brings together products sourced from all over the world that have ethical credentials.  It offers high-quality, eco-friendly alternatives to everyday items such as clothes, food, cosmetics and cleaners that do as little harm to the environment as possible.  As well as offering a large range of well-known brands, the store also sells ethical brands that you can’t get in the supermarkets.

To help farmers and small businesses primarily in developing countries, the Ethical Superstore offers fairly traded goods, guaranteeing fair prices at every stage of the supply chain – ensuring no exploitation in the production process and helping to alleviate poverty.  It also gives UK-based brands a platform to sell products that have been made in Britain using local resources, thus cutting CO2 emissions resulting from import.

Most of its products will hold a certification from bodies such as The Soil Association, the Fairtrade Labelling Organisation and the Energy Savings Trust.  However, it can be difficult for smaller brands to receive such accreditation, and in these cases the Ethical Superstore claims they are produced to its own ethical standards.

All of the store’s products have established ethical credentials in one of the following areas: fair trade; organic; eco-friendly; education; health and wellness; locally produced; charity.
